Bios updated to last verions 1303 (off course, as it happened to so many, express gate stopped working after flashing the Bios)
Thanks for the update Rider70. I uninstalled the updates that occurred during the period when the shutdown problem started. That didn't fix my problem, but as you noted the registry may have been permanently altered. I will be interested to hear what you discover.
