It is the same for Vista. I did this on Monday when I reinstalled Windows
Sometimes this doesn't always work though. On Monday when I was doing it, I had to go in to device manager and right click on "Ethernet Controller" for the wireless card, click "update driver" and choose to browse for it myself. When it loaded all the drivers, I chose Network Adapters and then Atheros. Chose an AR5002XS and let it install.
I then installed the abit drivers, then did the system32 trick and it worked.
I know this is an old thread, but useful to anyone that comes across it in the future
