Vortexx, I was wondering if you could help me with a similar problem. I am running Vista Home Premium 32bit on a TOSHIBA Satellite P105 and I have the xbox 360 Elite and they are both directly wired to my modem. I also have an external HD of 1TG. My problem isnt Windows Media Center, for some reason it reads my media off of my computers HD and the External HD, but when i try to directly read it off the xbox dashboard usinf music library or video library it only reads the HD on my computer and not the external. I have tried to figure out why and i found that when i got to the sharing options of any folder on my external HD and try to share it manualy using the uuid of my xbox 360, an error comes up saying it cannot locate the uuid, but on the other hand the folders in my Computer HD such as My Videos and My Music can locate the uuid.....its wierd because i had it working just yesterday wireless without using an ethernet cable from my modem to my computer...but yesterday i count get Media Center to work....thats why i decided to directly plug my computer to the modem....i was thinking that could have caused a conflics but im not sure..
