Windows Home Server WebDAV (Web Folders 4 WHS add in). I can connect
through both Firefox and IE8 without any issue. A friend can connect
through Max OSX.
On the Vista machine I can (sometimes) initially set up a conection
through Map Network Drive>Add Network Location. This will work for a
while, but then it will stop, usually after a reboot. When I try to
access it again I get the message
"The folder you entered does not appear valid. Please choose another."
The same happens when I delete and attempt to recreate the server.
If I try to map the WebDAV through the command prompt by
net use * https://<server>/<folder>
I get error 1219: Multiple connection to the server or a shared resource
by the same user are not allowed.
As far as I am aware, I am disconnected from the server.
What is going on? Is this a bug only in Vista 64? I have installed the
web folders update (KB907306) (although it does not actually appear in
my Installed Updates, is this a Vista x86-only patch and it fails to
complain?) and I have even found the hotfix KB960758 and installed that.
Nothing seems to have helped.
I see this problem has appeared a few times over the last couple of
years: any solutions?
Thanks!
