Re: IC Diamond 7 The Best Compound

Thanks guys. I'm really impressed with the results and I'm glad I could lower the operating
temperature in my notebook. As you know the temps in the notebooks are real problem, there is
no much room over there, everything is cramped together so tightly into the chassis.

Today, I was studying the screenshots from the yesterday tests and I found out that the hard drive
temp is lover also. It's 4-5C lower than before, thanks to lower overall temp inside the case.
Frankly, I was staring at the GPU and CPU temps and didn't notice the HDD one until today. Silly me.

I was using the Arctic Silver 5 in my lappy for three months, since I swapped the CPU for
the T9300. I guess the paste had more than 200 hours time to cure over there. The notebook run
almost non stop during that time. I was able to drop 2C in comparison to the stock factory grease
with the AS 5. It was not impressive result. I had to leave the stock thermal pads on the graphic
card and the chipset, because the gap between the hitsink on the chips is almost one millimeter
wide, so I couldn't use the AS 5 there.

With the IC Diamond 7 compound I was able to fill these gap without any problem. The paste is
specially made to be used on the GPU and/or the chipset where otherwise are used the thermal pads.

I'm planning to fix my other machines with this paste very soon. I highly recommend the ICD 7.

Cheers...

add:Thanks H2SO4, I read this one and looks like the water is the best
