I would take the machine back to the supplier and ask for the 32-bit
version of the OS to be installed instead of the 32-bit version.
To run the 32-bit version of Vista in a virtual machine you would need
to purchase the 32-bit version of Vista. After you install VPC you can
create a virtual machine, but you still need a copy of the OS (such as XP or
Vista) to install on the vm.
