Vista Update not working. Error 800B0100
Hello My vista home premium 64, service pack 1, cannot be updated. I tried to do all the advices that I was able to find in the differents forums and in the Microsoft Knowledge Database. - I uninstalled my antivirus and firewall security software, rebooted my systems, no success...
- I deleted the content of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, rebooted my systems, nothing...
- I donwloaded, installed and run the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista 64-bit. It ended ok, but still I couldn't update my system
- I donwloaded Vista Service Pack 2, and I tried to install it directly from it, no sucess...
- I found this solution in the forums:
- net stop cryptsvc
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 oldcatroot2
net start cryptsvc
It didn't work- I tried to do also this, opening a command line window as administrator:
