what are the comport setting on the serial port. It's hard enough to get
all the settings properly configured for reliable serial printing. Throwing
in a USB to serial converter, wow!
I suggest finding an old machine with a serial port and getting it to work
this way first. Then see if the USB to serial converter works for this
device.
