Re: AVG 8.5 Build 364 Vista 64 install problem

Hi JMH, Yes mate..you are right ..on some systems AVG performs well...but on others a disaster. Seems to be documented as as an issue...but oddly with no resolution. I have had a couple (5 to date) over the past few months with issues of slowing down, some progs not responding etc..and AVG was the culprit. Why this happens ,no-one seems to know. The other worrying thing is the bloatware which seems to be infecteing everything nowadays..including AVG. Personally I hate anything that also carries other non-essential crap like toolbars, search engines etc. etc. Ok for techs..we know what to leave out...but unsuspecting everday Mum's & Dads get caught with the bloatware all the time. In an area like mine, where the demographic is predominantly aged and occasional users,a lot of systems are low-end and simply can't cope with a lot of unnecessary resource sapping programs and so they end up with all sorts of issues.May be good for business..but bad for the owners health & temper. lol
