sorry you feel like that, some of our members have a life outside of the internet and its just not possible to read your post until we are online, in reply to your first post though, the great thing about PC's, anything will work with it, it doesnt have to be branded, im using an amplifier connected to 2 satellite speakers and a subwoofer, and my friend across from me uses his home cinema system for PC audio. you can choose what you like to connect as long as it can connect via the audio jacks at the back.
heres a midrange set to look at by altec lansing Newegg.com - ALTEC LANSING VS2421 28 Watts 2.1 Gaming Speaker System - Speakers
Have fun.
I realize that but, it seemed rather odd to have 20 post and half of them had zero replies after days of being there. At any rate, that particular system isn't available anymore per Altec's website. I had hoped of usinig my older (7 years) system from my XP system from Dell with this new system but the connectors are different. Most of the time you're never shown the connectors and so you can't be sure what you're getting is correct...thanks anyway.
the standard jacks are the same on my system now as they were when i got my first system about 10 years ago, any speakers work as long as the jacks are used, which they are, its an intel 7.1 HD audio soundcard built into the Dell XPS 435MT and they use standard audio jacks like all other systems. Pick which speakers you want, your choice.
