im thinking the bluescreen was related to something else and for some reason it couldnt create a memory dump
right clcik
computer and select
properties
then
advanced system settings on the right
under
startup and recovery click
properties
under system failiure is
write an event to the system log checked?
the only other reason i can think of is if a
live kernal debugger is being used , this will send info on the potential bluescreen somewhere else , but your pc wioll not bluescreen the live debugger stops it (i think) now if its set up like this and the live debugger fails that could be the cause of your bluescreen
this is HIGHLY unlikely im just thowing it out there for when somebody much cleverer than me sees this
