So I searched the issue on google and indeed, found the original solution of "Deleting the Upper and lower filters". Unfortunately, when I look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}, there is no Upperfilter or Lowerfilter to be found. Every now and then, I'm lucky and I'll have the Cd Drive for a couple of hours. But even without restarting the computer, I'll check My Computer and it'll be gone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My laptop is only a little over a year old, and I'd like to keep it in great condition.
