Thanks one and all for your responses. They are much appreciated and I'll give them a try.
To Dinesh: It won't read any disk. This is a real sporadic thing and there is no real pattern to when it occurs. Sometime it's a couple of months between incidents and at other times it will happen twice in two weeks. Like I said, it's no big deal, I was just curious as to why it happens.
Once again, thanks to everybody and this thread can now be ignored.
