Re: Microsoft Security Essentials beta available Another problem I have experienced is with Defender..I allow it to do it's thing as it was intended to do. Has it ever found a thing?..NOOOO!! Yet ,two other very widely used programs (also free) often find adware, malware ,cookies etc. I am a tad wary of something that so obviously does not do what any other garden-variety,free program can and does do.It hints at some sort of collusion between some adware/cookie lodgers and the parent company of the so-called security software. My computer is that..it's mine! It does not belong to anyone else,my privacy is mine to do with as I want instead of being compromised by so-called "friendly" sites.I believe in retaining control over my own surroundings, including my online habits. What I do not believe in is the free-for-all information sharing that no-one can deny goes on in computer related activities. |
