Have had a similar issue. My answer was to get rid of Adobe..it has caused a few probs....and put the free open source Foxit Reader or Foxit Suite on. Foxit has a much smaller footprint too...another bonus. There are lots of good alternatives to Adobe out there,mate...a Google search will list them. Hope that helps.
