what timings do you have your ram set to?

i have a phenom2 with 8gigs of 1066 (rated) ram. when i set my timings to 1066, i bsod every single startup, most of the bsod happening right when the microsoft logo and scrolling bar appear (vista). matter of fact, i could never get my ram to run at 1066mhz--not with 2 or 4 gigs installed. i know yours is the first gen phenom, but see if setting your back your ram to 800 or 533 and see if that helps.
