I'm not entirely sure if "jail" is the right term here. But here goes.
Personally, I like to make software (as much as possible) run under a user account/group so that it may not affect other applications.
For example, setting up my webserver the other day, I forced the apache/php/mysql services to run under a webserver user account where its' only access is to the web server specific directories.
I'm used to this practice from linux operating systems, and honestly I dont know how much of a difference it makes in Vista. But, I like to do it anyway ;P
Is it possible to run an install so that anything it makes is owned by a certain user from the start?
