I just had a similar problem with my desktop. Except my home network is wired and wireless. For the past three days every time I turn on my PC in the morning I would get the same thing as you. Local INTERNET only. First I checked all cables then checked all devices. Then I would reset/restart my battery backup. That seemed to work for awhile. Problem kept popping up. Finally to make a long story short, I went to my routers website for a chat session and I found out that my router settings had become corrupt. I had to reconfigure my router. Since then I have had no trouble connecting. Since yours is a laptop with built in wireless adapter. I would recommend that you uninstall driver from device manager and reboot. This will load the original driver from factory set up. Check connection. If it still happens try a system restore to an earlier date before problem started. If system restore does not fix problem as a last resort I would do a system reinstall. |
