I have a Treo 700WX that ran on Active sync when I was running Windows XP; when I moved to Vista, Active Sync no longer worked, thus I was required to use Windows Mobile Device Center which does basically the same thing Active Sync does and works like a charm.
What does it hurt to load up the program and give it a try?
