Re: How do I stop the transfer and return my email to where they belon

Nothing wrong with using XP. A lot of us, myself included, continue to
use it.

The default with most POP3 clients is to delete messages from the mail
server after downloading. In WLM mail, the setting is at Tools,
Accounts, Mail, Properties, Advanced, Leave a copy on the server.
Uncheck the option to sop deleting them.

There's no good way to put the messages back on the server. About all
you can do forward the messages individually to yourself. But that will
alter the sender as well as the date.

If you or your son have deleted the account from WLM, that deletes the
messages from WLM as well. If that's the case, about all you can do is
use an Undelete utility to look for deleted EML files. The longer you
wait and the more you use your PC, the less likely you'll be able to
recover many.
