Sorry to hear that. If you could contact me so we could trade notes, that would be great.
In all recent cases of this problem, the credential store (which both Messenger and Outlook
Express use for this) was not functional and so there was no need to worry about OE's
passwords.

However, the tool does create a backup .reg file for the Protected Storage area of the
registry which you can just reimport that more than likely will restore the passwords.
You'll find this under backup1.reg in the \Documents and Settings\username\Local
Settings\Temp folder. Probably be best just to type them back in though as I can't guarantee
that the info here is still valid (since Windows re-generates the encryption, which was the
point).

Worst case scenario, just use System Restore to restore back to yesterday and all will be
back to normal. Although I wouldn't recommend storing passwords in OE exclusively for safe
keeping (been there, done that).
