Try deleting "C:\Users\<Your name>\AppData\Local\IconCache.db" then Ctrl +
Shift + right click a blank area on Start and choose Exit Explorer. Press
Ctrl + Shift + Escape - File menu - New Task (Run) - and type explorer.
