I just ran "sfc /verifyonly" and "sfc /scannow" again to make sure I was correct. this time they both came up saying that they didn't find any integrity violations. I ran vista via the disk and choose the repair function to see if that would help. It said that there wasn't any problems so I restarted the computer. Now when I boot the computer up it shows me a list of services which are being loaded on a black background, but it still takes a long time to start up. |
