The "Password Protection" feature of MS Outlook Express was a fake. It
protected nothing. If you had access to the file system, you had access to
the MSOE files; all of them. A simple matter to import from the MSOE .dbx
files into your own MSOE Identity, from your buddy's password "protected"
Identity. Just access his .dbx files.

Fortunately, Windows XP does offer that which MSOE does not, true password
protection of the user's files. Just create password protected user accounts
in the OS. When you leave the computer, lock your account, or log off. The
other use won't have access to any of your files.
