Well, my driver management and discovery utility, downloaded
Synaptics Pointing Device and put its icon in the system tray
on my 32bit XP, but failed to do this for XP 64bit.
OS's on separate removable drives.
So it may be a 64bit driver related problem, I've had
a lot of irritating bugs running XP 64bit, and ditched
Vista 64bit Ultimate a few days after installing it.
Ran like a dog with Intel Extreme processor and
4GB Crucial, an an Asus mobo.
Plus virtually no support for existing peripherals.
