Yeah it really stinks that they made it so the window won't stay
maximized.
I know this doesn't answer you question but one thing that may help if
you have a lot of files in the same folder is to click on the first one
that you want to look at and of course use the maximize window button in
the upper right. But instead of hitting the red "x" button in the
upper right to go to the next one, you click on the file folder icon in
the upper left and then a list of all the .xps files in the current
folder shows. You can then click on the next file file and it will open
maximized. You can't see the dates of the files, but you can sort to
date order.
