Aparently You Can It Was Tested By A Class Of I.T. Professionals Such As
Myself Earlier Tody. If You Create A Windows.OLD Containing Th Proper Files
You CAN Use It To Manually Rollback To The Legacy OS Fallowing The Same Steps
As You Would If The Files Were Made During A Clean Install Keep In Mind I
Haven't Tested It MySelf But I Was Assured By The Vista Support Trainers At
Microsoft That It Could Be Done. However The Longterm Affects Of The Fix Are
Unknown You May Have To Manually Copy The NTLDR Off The Legacy OS CD And May
Have To Rebuild The MBR (Master Boot Record) And The Boot.INI In Order For
The Legacy OS To Boot Normally; All Of Which Can Be Done From Either The
Vista RE Command Prompt Or The WIndows XP Recovery Console. Keep In Mind
After Doing All This You May Still Have To Manually Configure The Computer To
Look For The NTLDR Instead Of the Boot Loader Used By Windows Vista VIA The
Vista RE Command Prompt.
