Well, I just tested it, and beta 1 definitely does not support ADS. If you
access the store from the network share (and not the WinFS namespace
extension under My Computer), you will get the error message stated below.
If you then try to access the alternate stream you'll get a message "The
filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." I thought
perhaps it was just the RsFx driver that didn't support the syntax, so I
copied an ADS file into WinFS using the namespace extension (which probably
uses RsFx still anyway), and it did not give me the error message, so I
copied the file back out to take a look at it. When I copied the file back
out, the ADS streams were gone. So, based on my tests too, it appears they
are not supported.
