Correct. Later models of laptops will scale down the processor and bus
speed in order to save battery power when AC is disconnected. This is
usually controlled within the BIOS so if Vista is running like a dead dog
while on battery then consider adjusting the BIOS settings to improve
performance. Obviously the battery won't last as long so you'll want to
find a good balance or get another battery, heheh.

But Vista should run quite nicely on the M 730.
