Re: Dell Dimension HW MB failure If the OS is bought OEM, the license is tied to the CPU and mobo, so
swapping out the two would require you to purchase another license to remain
legitmate.
That said, you probably can get it all working and activated with little
trouble. You may have to do a phone activation. Be careful what you say.
