Re: Dell Dimension HW MB failure Hey everybody,
Thanks for the advice. The XP Home was Dell OEM but I bought Vista Ultimate
Full on Tues. What about Vista? Excellent, an OS that I call art it's so well
thought out. I just bought a Home Premium Upgrade I'm going to install on my
Toshishba Portege M200 Tablet PC even though it can't do Aero because I'm so
impressed. The tablet & mobile improvements make it worth the 50 USD.
The Dell MB fried yesterday (HW usually does that in winter the dry and &
temp fluctuations exposes bad QC quickly) & I actually got the same answer
from Dell's online diag troubleshooter as what I supposed (the machine just
cut off & can't be powered up despite removal of everything that draws power.
The flea LED on MB is lit). Oh well, I got an updated HW for 400 USD but I'll
be waiting for a decent price DX10 vid card.
Honestly, which vid cards are better nVidia or ATI for 3D? i heard negative
things about ATI 3D but I always take things with a grain of salt unless it
sounds like an independent evaluation.
Thanks again.
