HEY before you rush out and buy Vista let me promise you that the
answer to the question:

NO!!!!!
Sure there is a classic mode but that's the WinXP classic mode which
is really old and ugly. There is no way in my edition on Vista (Home
Premium) to get the current WinXP look.
Shame really cos I think WinXP actually looks better than Aero -
especilly when it comes to browsing files (I really hate that Vista
Windows Explorer). What really annoys me about Aero is that they made
the application borders bigger to show off the technology which is
pointless. They also failed to properly intergrate the Menu bars in
application that use them (Internet Explorer hides them by default for
example). Then the maximize just makes everything grey... God it's all
just depressing.
