It is basically related to the fact that a number of ADSL providers
ship a CD with their own preconfigured set of bits on such as a setup
program, modem drivers, configuration for IE or other browser etc.
Great for a none technical users to setup their broadband with a
couple of clicks and typing in the password and user name they have
been assigned.
However, many of these vendor provided CDs are not supported on Vista
yet (drivers, IE config etc etc).
So the poster will either have to manually set up their
modem/router/connection or if they are not technically savvy enough
either switch providers or wait.
