I have an HP all-in-one and they claim that basic functionality works out of
the box. The way it was worded, I took it to mean that I can print, scan,
and fax from Windows with the built-in windows programs. However, none of
the HP "value-added" functions would work until they came out with drivers.
Since I rarely use these HP functions, I didn't sweat it.

You don't mention what version you have but in Business or Ultimate, try
using the Windows Fax and Scan.

Also, if this is a new purchase, I would return it and get something that
has drivers in the box.
