Vista has a rewritten sound engine, and currently doesnot support yahoo voice notice on yahoos vista client page it never mentions voice as a feature I belive this has to do with the TSP codec that yacscom.dll calls for voice functionality. you may have better luck using a raw voice client that doesn't call the yacscom.dll, also worth a mention with all the inherent DRM in Vista this may be written so as to not be able to share copy written material by piping a song out to your friend IE..via wave output you can capure on the other end at any rate Microsoft has a habbit of shotting themselves in the foot and having no Idea of there client base, and quite frankly not caring at all they'll let someone else fix it and pipe it in as an update. My advice Stick with XP.
