RE: problems with installing vista Hey Jim,
unfortunately it didn't work. Same procedure as usual: "Disk read error" at
first boot attempt.
Although this 'brain-dead' Upgrade Advisor didn't find anything harmful at
all I'm pretty much convinced now that this must be some sort of hardware
issue.
Somebody told me that the type of memory-controller I have might not be
properly supported by the Vista installer, although it would be supported by
the OS once installed. If that really is the case I'm hoping for some sort of
fix by Microsoft (HELLO THERE!!!).
Otherwise I could try to get Vista on my Drive by using SB-Software. That
could be a way ... don't know yet.
But thanks for your kind help anyhow.
Just 'google-earthed' Madison, WI. Nice lakes you've got there. So you're on
the track team. What distances are you running??
