Guys, I am having a similar problem but not yet at 48 hrs ! I am only at
around 3 hrs and 73%. I believe it's a system configuration problem. My
machine is config/setup like this : AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200 on a MSI K9NU Neo-V
motherboard, with 1GB DDR2-667 Mhz in Dual Channel mode, with a MSI NX7600GS
TD256 VGA card, and a 200 GB 7200 Rpm Maxtor HD. Vista is doing a clean
install off it's own DVD from the LG DVD-Ram 16x drive. There is a known bug
with Vista with a SATA2 config in some BIOS, but this machine does not have
any SATA drives.
I tested this machine with a clean install of XP 64-bit and it completed
under 25 min. What could this be ?
