Re: Issue resuming Sleep Mode The other weird thing I found with Vista Updates is that the update for
application compatibility actually worked in reverse for me. After
installing it, all kinds of things stopped working including drivers for my
DVD drive (Sonic) and a few others. I uninstalled that update and all the
error warning messages went away. You might want to try and see if you have
that one installed - uninstall it and see if that helps as it seems to
affect some driver-level software. I think that update is a case of "your
mileage may vary", but if you weren't having any compatibility problems
before, you may not need it and it might be worth trying to uninstall it and
rebooting to see if that helps.
BTW - I heard that the sound problem you're experiencing after Sleep also
affect webcams, so it sounds like you have the "classic" symptoms of
whatever that problem is.
