To listen to audio from the Line In jack over your computer speakers, try
this:
1. Connect the audio device to your computer through the line in jack.
2. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then
click Sound.
3. Click the Playback tab (if it is not already selected), and then click
your speakers in the list of playback devices.
4. Click Properties.
5. In the Speakers Properties dialog box, click the Levels tab, and then
find the Line In setting.
6. If the Line In is muted (where the speaker icon has a red circle next to
it), click the Speaker icon.
The red circle should not appear next to the Speaker icon now.
7. Play the audio device that is connected to the line in jack.
8. If sound plays through the speakers, click OK in the Speaker Properties
dialog box.
