Re: Contacts folder used by Microsoft Mail

tried to come up in safe mode....still had the problem
Looks like a Visual C++ module, might not be the real problem though

If I open a command prompt and go to the contacts directory, pick off an
entry I can delete it without
any problems.

Reynald,

Thought it might be a foreign module causing the crash, but it turns out to
be mfc42.dll (system file). Try closing down all running applications and
see if you can isolate the problem.

Hi Rey,

See if there are any events registered in the Application event log during
the time when Explorer crashed. Reasons for the crash may be determined from
the log.

Can not delete any entry in the contacts folder. When I do Windows Explorer
close and restarts.

Permissions look correct I am Administrator and the only user. I have full
permissions.

I tried deleting contacts within Vista mail and from Windows Explorer in
either case Explorer stops working
and restarts

Any Ideas
