According to knowledgeable folks whom I have consulted, increasing
memory will not reap rewards. As you suspect, spending on AGP is not
cost effective.
I use exactly the same video here, with the most recent driver that
supports it, and all is well. There need be no concern for later
drivers, which do not support the 5200 card. They may incorporate
features that you don't need, or don't have on the older box, but might
take advantage of when you buy new at a future date. |
