It's also possible there's some bug in the BIOS. Drives of different sizes
get handled differently and of course that is prone to a ton of bugs. Same
goes for SATA, it may get handled totally differently from PATA just by
flipping some BIOS setting. If you look at the groups there's quite many
people with nForce and SATA issues.
