Re: Issue resuming Sleep Mode

I have the same problem like Innossan. Reboot will always fix the problem but
that defeat the purpose of having standby/sleep/hibernate mode in my laptop.
My computer info:
HP Pavilion dv2000t laptop with Vista Home Premium, 2 Ghz CPU, 2 Gb RAM.

I'm not sure what is manufacture of the sound card. From device manager, it
only says HD Audio Device and the driver files:
drmk.sys, HdAudio.sys, portcls.sys, sysfxul.dll, wmalfxgfxdsp.dll
From HP website it says Conexant HD Audio Driver.

I have tried updating the sound driver from HP.com with no success.
I have tried download and install KB929685 from MSFT and it was stated that
my soundcard is not affected.
I have sent the notebook to HP twice. The first time they replaced the
speaker and the second time they replaced the hard drive and motherboard w/
the soundcard. And still I'm having the same issue. HP support said there is
nothing else they can do except waiting for MSFT to fix the driver issue with
VISTA.

It's very frustrating. I don't know what else to do other than disabling the
sleep/standy/hibernate mode on my laptop.

MSFT MVPs, please help!! or please report this major BUG to the proper
channel inside MSFT.

IMHO, there are so many others that are affected by this problem but they
just haven't noticed it yet especially if they have HP Pavilion DV model
Notebook.

Thanks,
CP
