Doris,
Some folks like the multiple layers. Just last week, I picked up a computer
from a club member with the request to clean out the viruses that his
anti-virus program had missed. He couldn't figure out how why he couldn't
get anything done. He had repeatedly turned the Windows Firewall on, was
behind a router and had installed both Norton Internet Security 2007 and a
priced version of Zone-Alarm on a Windows XP system!!!
He wanted to "protect his assets." He did nothing other than play Free Cell
and look at his occasional e-mail messages, no banking, no on-line
purchases. That comes with the territory in a retirement community.
