I just got a new laptop with Vista and am trying to do file and printer
sharing with other XP computers on the network. Two are fine, but the third
is asking for a user name and password. I have uninstalled ZoneAlarm and AV
software; set up user accounts for both computers; run the network wizard for
file and printer sharing; enabled Netbios over TCP/IP in the IP ver. 4
properties. Have no idea why the other two don't have a problem, but this one
does. All have the same workgroup name. I can do remote desktop connection,
but would prefer file and printer sharing.
