Frankly, I'm amazed that anyone would not have been able to understand my
post. I very specifically alluded to both the fact that I used to use
Outlook Express and that I launched it from the "go" command in Outlook and
I specifically mentioned Windows Mail as that's the program which seems
rather bug riddled now that I'm using Vista.

I do NOTuse Outlook Express in Vista...simply stated it can't be done. I
use OUTLOOK--part of the Microsoft Office package.

The question, I thought, was VERY simple. If one installs Windows Live Mail
Desktop, can it be configured in some way so that it launches under a
command within Outlook as Windows Mail does now and Outlook Express did in
the past.

Any and every time I've hit "catch up" the program has failed and given me
the prompt to the effect, "I can restart or go to the internet to try to
find a solution." Restarting simply takes me back to where I was with the
additional prompt beforehand for me to setup an e -mail account.

It didn't happen once, or on occasion, it happened each and every time I
moved to a new newsgroup until, after the sixth time, I decided that if it
didn't work any better than that, I'd try Windows Live Mail Desktop.

I then posted my question in Outlook as it may be an "Outlook configurable"
setup to be able to launch WLMD. I also posted in Windows Mail thinking
there may be some sort of patch which corrects the problem causing the never
ending failure when "catching up." Finally, I also posted to WLMD as it
seems logical that people using it may also be using Outlook and either know
how to make the two interoperate or have the knowledge that it cannot be
done.
