I guess you didn't understand me. So let me further explain my steps.

Check for updates and install everything that is presented to you. This
implied there are NO MORE, however if you insist then CHECK FOR UPDATES
AGAIN. In other words keep checking for updates until it wont give you any.
Then uncheck "Use Microsoft Update" and scan again. Gee, more updates.
I've had that happen twice on two different machines. I have a third
machine where it will happen again and I'm waiting for confirmation on a
decent screen recorder for Vista to capture the oddity.

The scary part is that among the updates it wouldn't give me (with "Use
Microsoft Update" checked), Defender signatures was one of them. Which we
all know do not fall under your #1 or #2.

However, this has nothing to do with Vista directly. It's a WU issue alone
however it will affect Vista users.

My System SpecsSystem Spec
