Genuine = Legal, legally activated, no cracks.
Non-Genuine = Possibly pirated, cracked.
Sometimes a legal version of Vista will give a non-genuine error. Most of
the time it can be fixed by a reboot or going to the MS site and downloading
a file that requires a genuine product (it will verify, and all is good).
