Re: AHCI-SATA-IDE Thanks for the help. I didn't have the option of switching to a J-Micron
port, so I bit the bullet after screwing around with a lot of different
options and did the reinstall. Huge difference in performance. RAID/AHCI
is the way to go with a SATA drive, no question.
Removed SATA cable from the Intel 82801HR SATA AHCI Controller and plugged
in the SATA port of the J-Micron.
