Try disabling McAffee completely or even uninstall it and reboot and see if
the problem is resolved. If not, you can try using Steve Cochran's WMUtil
program and try to repair the database:
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/Default.aspx (note the caveat about making a
copy of the database before doing a repair for insurance).
If both fail, you can copy the old DBX files (from the XP Outlook Express
Store Folder) to a new folder on the Vista machine, make sure the Read-Only
attribute on each DBX file is cleared (it is set if you use a CD/DVD to copy
them over) and try an import in Windows Mail (File/Import/Messages). And
before doing the import make sure you clear the existing files in the
message store folder in Vista.
